About the Course

LGBTQ+ individuals and families often face distinct challenges when navigating pregnancy and infant loss—compounded by societal bias, limited representation, and gaps in culturally competent care. This course explores the unique grief experiences within LGBTQ+ communities, examining how identity, family structure, and systemic discrimination shape the journey through loss. Through thoughtful discussion and evidence-informed insights, participants will gain tools to better understand these experiences, recognize barriers to care, and implement affirming, inclusive support strategies that foster cultural competence and emotional validation.
