Examine how the Superwoman mentality influences grief in the Black community after pregnancy and infant loss. Gain insight into its historical roots and the barriers Black parents face in accessing perinatal bereavement care.

Meet Your Instructor

Dr. Terri L. Major-Kincade is a board-certified Pediatrician and Neonatologist in private practice across Texas, South Carolina, Nevada, and Georgia. Inspired by her premature sister, she specializes in neonatal care, health disparities, and perinatal hospice. Dr. Terri has received numerous honors, including Physician of the Year at UT Houston and recognition on ABC's Houston Medical. She’s an advocate for neonatal palliative care and is active in various national organizations. A best-selling author and speaker, her passion for premature infants is deeply personal.
